Friends for Life needs volunteers to donate their time and talents to help the animals!

Our volunteer program includes the following requirements:

We ask that volunteers donate at least two (2) hours of their time per month in order to remain active in the program.
You must be at least 14 years old to volunteer for Friends for Life. Children 14-17 must have parental approval. For more questions regarding our junior volunteer program, please email: jrvolunteers@azfriends.org

Junior Volunteer Program - 14 to 17 years of age

We Welcome Junior Volunteers!

If you are 14 - 17 years old and have the consent of your parent or legal guardian, we welcome you to apply to our F4L Junior Volunteer Program. We know that young people bring a special energy, enthusiasm, and love to animals. We know that by including them on our volunteer team, we can:

· Educate young people (the animal “parents” and volunteers of the future) about responsible animal care

· Increase community awareness about the existence and mission of Friends for Life

How to Apply?

After reviewing your application, one of our representatives will call your parent/legal guardian to obtain additional information, if necessary, and answer questions your parent/guardian may have.

After your application is approved, you will receive an email invitation to our next Junior Volunteer Orientation and Training session.

What Are the Requirements?

You must be between 14 and 17 years old at the time you submit your application.

Have a need to complete a small number of volunteer hours (less than 20)? Have a class that needs to do a service learning project? Orientation and training can take some time, so please consider doing a fund raiser for the shelter! ! Check out our "wish list" to see what items we need. Feel free to contact us if you need any information to help with your fund raiser.
